Ciao! I'm still setting up this blog, which is the only reason I am posting this at the moment. This blog is mainly for my Journalism class, so I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be writing on here yet. But I figured discussing the first ever meal I had in Italy last night was a good place to start!

The group of us wandered down the streets in search of a Pizzeria, and we stumbled upon Gustoleo. It was still pretty early in the evening, so they had an open table to sit all six of us and we decided to split two margherita pizzas and a "pancetta e funghi" pizza. Because I'm not a big fan of mushrooms, I only tried the margherita pizza and unfortunately did not taste the pancetta and funghi one. However, the margherita pizza was delicious! The crust was thin (which I like) but it may have sat out too long with the wet tomatoes and sauce on it because it was a little soggy (which I definitely do not like). The fresh basil, tomatoes, and mozzarella made up for the flimsy crust though. Overall, I rate my first meal in Italy a solid 7/10.
